Hard to keep up with all these additions which mean a lot of players leaving or not qualifying. Never have seen this many changes this soon. Looks like we're getting some players though.

Another 3-start dude. Casper71 should be one happy guy. ;-)

Edit: I'm happy too . . . I think this class is shaping up quite well.

Someone with offers such as this lad had--that's good.

Beating EMU and Colgate and Babbich State-Eastern for recruits does not impress.

His Hudl profile has his weight up to 265 now.

I am a little concerned about his technique. He's letting blockers get to his body (several coverage sacks on that highlight reel). Most of the good plays I saw are runs with ball going away from him, or when Robbins is on a stunt. So he's got enough quickness, but how does he do when it's pounded right at him?

The last few years, when players dropped out of the picture due to injury (existing players) or failing to qualify (incoming players), they have usually just held the scholarships, and given them to walkons in the fall. This year they have moved a lot quicker to replace losses:

When Stevens-McKenzie failed to qualify, that made room for Key.
When Davon Henry called it quits due to injuries, they added Provitt.
When Alexander left for personal reasons, they added Addrell Taylor
Now something else has happened to make room for Robbins.

Looks like he signed and red shirted at Georgia Tech in 2013, then transferred to Iowa Western where he played last year. Not sure why he transferred but he was able to qualify out of HS, hence only needing a year in JUCO.

I have been stalking following him on Twitter as I knew he was making a visit. But I saw various reports on whether he was a 2015 or 2016 prospect.

Not sure if he RS at GT or IWCC. There was something about him being a recruit of Al Groh and Al moving on which may have affected the GT recruitment. Robbins committed to GT in July 2012 and Groh was let go by GT in Oct 2012. Sometimes coaching shuffles result in players getting a raw deal.

But that kid also had offers from Air Force and Marshall...which I don't mind recruiting against.

RS would have to be at GT, no? We know he played in 2014 at IWCC, because there is recruiting video of it. If he signed w/ GT in 2013, that fall would be his RS year. Transfer to IWCC in 2014 and play, then transfer to Ohio in 2015 with three years to play three.

Or are you saying that there is some question as to whether he actually signed with GT?

Yahoo reports him "Signed LOI with GT." Whichever. Mr. Robbins, it is great that you are a Bobcat. One thousand "Welcomes" there is this GA named Tremayne Scott, I hope he is still on staff and you two can become very close. Bcat2

Here is his bio from Georgia Tech showing that he was at GT, and redshirted there in 2013:

The same would be true of Keely. Keely's track is very similar to Robbins, except for the school. He spent a year at South Dakota State, and redshirted, then transferred to Iowa Western, where he played last year as a redshirt Freshman. For some reason Robbins is listed as a 2015 recruit, while Keely is listed as a 2016 recruit. It seems to me that either could be a recruit for either year.

I listed Robbins as a 2015 addition, and Keely as a 2016 offer solely based on the fact that that is the way the recruiting services show them, not based on any other information.

Edit - Per Robbins' twitter @Showtime_kev, he expects to finish classes by June, and has signed, so it's clear he is a 2015 recruit.

Kevin Robbins @Showtime_kev · May 19

Mr. Robbins at 6'4" 263 & pulling 3.65 in the classroom should be a help.

Well, he sure as heck can run down the zone read, but it would be nice to see a highlight of him taking on some blockers.

Saw Robbins at IWCC being from area and teams actually ran away hence
chase plays. He'll be a pleasant addition!
