Oh, sorry. I thought you might have missed what Beef's coach Leipold has accomplished:

Won the NCAA Division III National Football Championship in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014 and w(as) runners-up in 2008.

So, if in his first year (not his 11th) at Buffalo he got blown out by CMU, it's not the same as the whipping WMU gave us last week.

Still here. Want to be available to explain Leipold first year vs. Solich 11th year in case you still don't get it.

Ya gettin' it?

Leipold needed only 106 games to get his 100th win at DIII Wisconsin Whitewater.

There, he won 6 national championships and finished second one other time.

Yes, I get it. Leipold looks like he's going to be very successful. Solich has always done a great job of recognizing talent, and hiring assistants.

Can anyone recall was Roosevelt Nix of Reynoldsburg, Kent State, Pittsburgh Steelers recruited by the Bobcats?

On another thought, I believe the OHIO recruiters should employ several drones to hover over the stadiums of the major MAC recruiting competitors. A kid comes for a winter, spring, summer visit and sees a Peden, less attractive/impressive than the other stadiums less Miami. Show the kid a video of the MAC schools where he will play twice, show the meager crowds at each of the home games. Then show the crowds at Peden, the band, the Tailgreat, the HC Parade. Coming to see Peden when it is empty isn't quite the same as vs Marshall, HC or vs WMU. Some of these kids need to be SOLD and a flashy video for their eyes only might add a dash of excitement to go with the beautiful campus. It is not like you are bashing the opponents rather just showing them what life in the MAC would be like if you come to OHIO.

I looked it up for you. Rivals shows that the 5'10", 237 DT out of high school had offers from Kent State, Air Force, Ball State, and EMU.

Thanks LC.

Considering Bussey and Carpenter came from football fathers, TT from a baseball old man, so too did Roosevelt Nix's father play in the NFL (his mom was an athlete too at BGSU-how did they not offer Nix?) the recruiters at the Convo should build a data base of young men who have the blood lines. This isn't necessarily a can't miss but had the Bobcat recruiters followed this about 6 years ago, perhaps under the radar Roosevelt Nix would have been Freshman Defensive Player of the Year wearing Green and White. Anything to get an edge on some talent.

I note that after a fast start, Buffalo's class now looks pretty much like a typical MAC recruiting class, except heavy on the JUCOs. I guess Leipold feels he needs a fast fix.
