Dontez is a smaller guy, ...but he’s probably the strongest pound-for-pound guy we have in our program. He’s a sophomore who is 170 pounds and he’s a 400-pound squatter. He knows what his role is. He starts at cornerback for us as well, often times he’s our boundary corner, a lot of man-to-man coverage we ask out of him and for a sophomore he stepped up and did a great job.

ESPN and related networks have HS football all weekend. Rash's team will be on ESPNU at 4 pm today.

Also, Ted's chart shows Ohio interest in Spartanburg (SC) QB Austin Scott. He's on ESPNU right now (and looks pretty good).

We must over Scott a scholly....just watched him go over 300 yards and 3 pass touchdowns...nice arm.

Rash has a TD so far...he goes both ways so his play is limited....his QB has some Ivy and Patriot offers but me thinks we should offer as well.

Benedictine is absolutely loaded with talent, and has a major regular season showdown with Hoban tonight, in what may be a State Title preview of two of the best teams in Ohio.

Game is actually tomorrow night at Bedford. Both teams loaded with multiple Big Ten commits as well as MAC. HS football junkie's paradise tomorrow. St. Iggy vs St Ed's in afternoon, then Benedictine-Hoban at 7pm.

I get the outlook that maybe he wants a better/quicker opportunity. But we are losing a player to Slippery Rock? Well at least he's not going to Kutztown.

This is pure speculation, as I don't know the kid, so no offense is intended if any relative, friend, etc., reads this...

But was this maybe an academic issue? I feel like we lost a recruit (or a transfer, or something) once before to Slippery Rock once before (and now that I think about it...maybe it was basketball???), and it was an academics thing.

Well, if Slippery Rock wasn't NCAA DII, I might jump on that theory, nut a non-qualifier is a non qualifier for NCAA, and any test score issue would have 3 more attempts to meet.
