This time of year there are no doubt a few offers going out to people that impress the coaches in the camps.

Keep tapping that Colerain pipeline and any other football programs here in the Queen City. This city lives and breathes H.S. football.

Ohio had its satellite camps in Dayton and Cincinnati last Monday (June 8th) that generated several offers (check the recruiting page). They have their NE Ohio camp at Bedford tonight (June 15th) which I suspect will generate several more offers.

I've been conditioned recently to believe that every time I see an old thread like this one bumped it is due to some bad news.

First it was Rash, then Murray.

Honestly, what were Murray's chances of playing ahead of Lowery, McCray, Pleasants, Grimes, Anderson, Wood, Langenkamp, Beadle & Notestine & Noel? You do the math. It must have been easy to sell him with the opportunity to play immediately. At Ohio he likely would have to wait until a RS Jr. season to become a regular.

Bcat2, I would say they would be included in my "BETTER" players category. If we get 5-7 out of 20 guys (25-35%) like this I will be real happy. If it is 2 out of 20...not so much:)

I don't think you ever see me rant that much about the coaching/play calling (What I have said is this staff will know when it is time to hang it up). My point has always been we just need more better players.

By this thinking, Ohio shouldn't recruit any more OL for the next two years. And what's wrong with a little competition? We don't know how good Murray would have been. For all we know, he could have beaten out all of these guys and been an All-MAC player.

I'm sorry, I just don't agree that we can predict he would sit until his RS Jr year for playing time. And add that to the fact of depth problems this program has faced especially on the OL, I don't think Ohio can take any chances.

OK. If this is spilled milk you want to cry over, go ahead. Just saying with the men on the roster I will not.

It has nothing to do with spilled milk. What would you have said if we got Murray over Noel? Would you have said "oh no big deal, Noel would have sat behind Murray anyway," or what?

What about both Murray and Noel? Or a third OL? Or a fourth? Or none at all? I just don't see how losing a guy we had is a good thing just because "he wouldn't have played till his RS Jr year," according to you. That makes no sense to me.

Does depth on the OL not concern you? I'd rather play a RS Jr than a true freshmen all things considered, but still we don't know how good Murray could or could not have been. Have you seen the injury list the last couple of years?

I will wait for the signature on the dotted lines, but: as I said if 30 % or so of our recruits are stars/with offers, I will be happy. Of course, I will be happier if they all make it onto the field. While I like all the Colerain guys we've offered because I know they are winners, so far I think maybe none have made it to play a snap? I could be wrong and I bet bcat will tell me if I am:)

Looks like a real stud to me; wouldn't be surprised if he plays earlier than some might guess.
