Willie tweeted his commitment to the Bobcats. He has offers from Miss.St, NMSU and North Texas. He's 6'2" 195 per 247 Sports. Not sure what position he's being recruited for.

This is another 3-star recruit. The class continues to come in slowly, but has higher rankings that prior classes.

Always nice to beat out an SEC school. Most of his highlights are at QB. He definitely seems like a playmaker.

Look at the film, he is just an ok passer. We have had ok passers for the last 12 years. 247 is one site, other sites have him as an athlete. He can use his smarts and his athletic ability to be a safety or a wide receiver

Ohio has been known to recruit dual-threat QBs for other positions. Some that come to mind are Cope, Andrew Meyer, Mario Dovell, and Jelani Woseley.

I would assume that he would have a high QB IQ and skill set coming from this program.

Seems this staff has good contacts from sea to shining sea. Or perhaps Barrett is talking to Burrow at OSU about this young man Cherry and Burrow relays a tip back to Athens. All speculation. Perhaps one day we will hear how Cherry connected with Ohio.

Frank...get that family some OHIO gear. Looks like they had to iron on their shirts. They're obviously proud of their boy, so they need some Bobcat gear to show that pride.

I really like this quote from the article Ted posted (thanks, Ted):

"We all know he's a special athlete," Bindel said. "Ohio called me and asked, 'What can this guy do?' I said, '"Anything you want." He's so talented, but he's also a great kid. He's got a great family and been raised the right way. He's always so polite. I think a lot of Willie Cherry. I would let him babysit my daughters. That's the biggest complement I can give him."

Don't think we'll ever see this kid involved in anything remotely resembling the recent armed robbery embarrassment.
