I think ours is the first D1 offer. I saw he had an offer from S.W. Missouri State also.

I don't care about the offers, this was a great find. He and Ellison would make a great duo. The kid ran a 10.5 100 and like Excat 21 says, he has great vision.

The timing of His commitment probably means no Ellison

I hope we get Ellison, too. I'm sure they can make room for both, but this is a great addition.

That a way to get er done! 10.5 in the hundred. If we can get one or two speedsters like this in every class......Ill be impressed and happy. Always need explosive guys. This is our Tyreek Hill (Kansas City Chiefs receiver who runs a 10.1-10.3 in the 100 yd dash). Papi and JUJU. I like it!!

My only question is why no other FBS offers?

Exactly. Nothing from Kansas? K-State, Tulsa, N.Iowa. So many teams in the Midwest passed..why???

I'm guessing that we will find out before all is said and done. However, the big boys make a lot of mistakes when recruiting. Time will tell on all the recruits.

One thought I had watching his tape was that his O line was doing a lot of the work for him. You didn't see him have to break a lot of contact coming through the hole. I wonder if that's the concern.

That kid can play, he doesn't look that big, but he has speed and vision

Two things that are hard to coach.

One could also ask why Carrie and Brazille had no other offers. If I had to guess, Ross probably didn't think he would get a scholarship, and didn't do any of the things that generate offers. We know for a fact that he didn't get himself listed and rated by the recruiting services. Most likely he didn't attend any recruiting camps, either. If you aren't listed, and aren't at camps, you won't get many offers. If you promote yourself, and go to all the camps, more people will see you, and you will get more chances to generate interest and offers.

As far as breaking for yards after contact, I see him being used like Papi, where he exploits speed, but power.

I don't think that there is a whole lot of mystery concerning Carrie regarding lack of other offers. He has barely played any football and therefore had little history. Can't remember Brazille(sp) history.
I would wager that we make and keep more offers to guys with injuries than other teams, but I'm probably overestimating that number. Say like Tettleton?
