Brookfield’s Xavier Bailey is at peace with how his high school sports career came to a close.

On paper, it looked like Saturday was a disappointment for the future Ohio University football player. In Friday’s preliminaries, Bailey recorded the second fastest times in the 100 and the 200, but in the finals he took fifth (11.09) and fourth (22.24).

Has there been any confirmation from our staff that he is going to be in Athens in the fall?

The only time I hear that he is coming is from Bailey himself.

I was told his stay in Athens was very short.

My apologies if that is incorrect.

I think he plans to run track (sprints) at Youngstown State.
