For this recruit, you can hardly blame him. After all, a local school called the "University of Oklahoma" inexplicably calls themselves "OU", so recruits from Oklahoma have at least a partial excuse for being confused.

L.C.. Seems I recall the University of Nebraska, in 67, 68 & 69 wearing NU on their helmets. ????

I don't understand this at all. I've asked numerous grads about this and no one has a clue why they're "OU." Drives me crazy..
