Ohio has done a commendable job lately of recruiting players from the OCC, arguably the best athletic conference in Ohio. I'm thinking primarily from schools in the Olentangy and Pickerington districts. But I can't recall the last player we got from Watterson, quite possibly the best program in the state, regardless of division.
The Eagles just finished it second straight 15-0 season, winning the state title in Div. III. And I'll be the first to predict a third straight 15-0, state championship season next year with a dominant 2025 junior class. It wouldn't hurt to get offers to some of those players from the 2027 class.
One player that has received an offer is offensive tackle Davis Seaman. His dad (my favorite blackjack dealer at Hollywood Casino in Columbus) mentioned his son's recruitment, including offers from P4 programs.
Senior QB Drew Bellisari (30-0 as a starting QB) has signed with Miami. His offer came late after Tommy Carr, brother of ND starting QB CJ and grandson of former UM head coach Lloyd Carr, reneged on his commitment to Miami and signed earlier this week with Michigan.
A lot of rambling just to share my hope that OUr coaching staff starts seeing some success in recruiting Watterson players.

43 - 2 over the last 3 years with 2 state championships and a runner up. An extremely well-run program with Coach Kennedy at the helm and a number of top flight assistants. The knock on the program, and you have to look very hard to find one, is that the success is "system" driven in the way that the Patriots/Brady were system driven. Also that the kids are not all that talented individually and rely on heart and effort, which will expose them at the next level, something I 100% disagree with. Yesterday's effort on defense was a master class in fundamental tackling. I watch a lot of football on Saturdays and I haven't seen many teams that tackle better than Watterson. We should absolutely be taking long hard looks at the kids in this program.
