It looks like he took an official visit this past weekend too.

This is a great get, he plays with physicality and has good hands. He will be a great target for Mischler. If he gets a little faster, he can be our first tight end to go to the NFL since Jordan Thompson. I don't care about the offers or stars on this one, this guy can play. Go Cats. Let's get some explosive wide receivers. He may have been recruited to play DE. http://www.omaha.com/neprepzone/recruiting/football/norri...
He will probably get faster next year. The young man runs rack Ala Kaieem Cesar. https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/Athlete.aspx?AID=8...

His dad was an absolute beast of an Offensive Guard (6'4, 312, and mobile). All-American, and played in the NFL for eight years.

Here's another, earlier article on Bryce:
http://www.omaha.com/neprepzone/recruiting/football/recru...

It sounds from the articles like he'd rather play DE, but either way, he's a great, great addition to the class. Bryce is ranked by Omaha.com as the 8th best player in the state.

I think we are deep enough at TE that he can play DE.

We should also take a look at the #10 player on that Omaha.com list...OL/DL A J Forbes of Bellevue NE.

I am psyched about this one. Kind of reminds me of Sayles in that he has great size and seems like a massive amount of upside. The apple usually doesn't fall far from the tree.

Exactly.

I've read some Nebraska newspaper articles that said that Ohio coaches were excited about him contributing on the defensive side early on.

Nebraska has been very good to us.

Keep em coming.

Opportunity to play for Solich attracts Norris' Stai to Ohio  (Lincoln Journal Star)

Article says he's being recruited to Ohio as a DE.

I put him at DE before I read this article.

Watching his vids I saw a QB/RB seeking missile.

Of course I watched them while listening to Seek And Destroy by Metallica...my girlfriend says I'm not right in the head.

The last two paragraphs of this article give me reason to believe we got a real diamond in the rough. It appears that he may have been overlooked because of his illness during his senior year. Another under the radar guy? WMU offered, so we weren't the only ones who saw the potential here. But, if he'd been healthy he might have gotten an offer from UNL, and he would likely have taken that one. Nebraska's loss is OHIO's gain! ;-)

I really think he liked OUr campus....and the dad/Solich connection doesn't hurt.

The current state of Nebraska football 🏈 also may have steered him away from preferred walk on status. I look for Riley to go and former Nebraska QB Scott Frost to take over.

Possible. I have little doubt that Nebraska will offer Frost, but I don't know that Frost will take it. Nebraska can offer more money, but the average duration of a Nebraska coach is only 3-5 years these days. Scott is a young coach, and I'm not sure that 3-5 years of great pay, and then back on the coaching carousel will be attractive to him. If he likes Orlando, most likely he can stay there as long as he wants.

We'll just have to see how it plays out. In the meantime, this is a great addition for Ohio.

Nebraska should have canned Riley last year and gone hard after Fleck. But that's none of my business....

What about Paul Johnson or Ken Niumatalolo? How much do Husker fans want to bring the option back to Lincoln?

"Athens (Ohio) is a football town and both me and my dad fell in love with the place."

Part 1 of this sentence is something I've never heard before. Part 2 is something that happens(ed) to a lot of us.

Regardless, this seems like a great pickup.

Part 1 puzzled 😕 me as well.

Part 2 means if we can just get them to visit.

Man, his Dad looks like he could still play - he's a huge dude! Get that young man in the weight room as soon as he steps on campus!

Interesting interview about the recruiting process from Bryce's dad and how it differed with him in comparison to his son. Sounds like a great guy. Very excited to have him attend Ohio!
