I really like the video on this guy. Great touch on passes, and he keeps his eyes downfield even when he's scrambling. He needs to add some size, though...nothing a red shirt year in the weight room can't fix.

ECP is a top quality program who plays good competition, he's been well coached. This would be a good thing.

That play at 2:35 in his hudl was really cool.

Yeah, there are a lot of early Tettleton notes here.

Buddy of mine went there, definitely a traditional football power up that way and they normally see the good NE Ohio schools when they can. As to what my buddy said, definitely excited for him to come down here and do some good for us. For OU, great get in terms of a school that spits out D-1 Talent in Erie, PA. Hopefully we can build a nice little pipeline of a couple kids coming down to Athens.

Riiight. TT is not a good enough standard for new QBs. TT who has the top three seasons by QBs in Ohio history. The best season by a sophomore in Ohio history. The best season by a junior in Ohio history. The best season by a senior in Ohio history. Ìn total he produced 9,125 passing yards while the next QB Sammy Shon has 5,412. Right, why would anyone want TT? Surely TT's records will be broken. Perhaps beginning this season, but, right now the all time Ohio QB should be just fine as a standard for new QBs.

TT was decent, I believe TT made third team all-conference once. I want more than TT. I want first-team all mac qb. TT set the standard, now we need qb's to raise the standard.
I am a Browns and Bobcat fan, a Browns fan could say to me Deshone Kizer reminds me of Derek Anderson and I would say I want better, the fan could respond and say Derek Anderson was the best QB that we had in in the last 20 years. I would not be able to disagree with that, Anderson made a pro bowl and took us to the playoffs, but as soon as teams adjusted to him, he was mediocre. TT gave us a high and that was it to me. I appreciate the high, but I want consistency.

I hope this Bobcat's parents don't find their way to this site to see us ragging an 18 year old kid who has yet to throw a pass.

Welcome to the finest University in the land Joe Mischler! You are going to love this place!

Is he TT 2? T3 2? How about Joe 1.0? Welcome to Ohio, Joe. Forge your own path, and may it be a good one.

As I said in the other thread, I like him. He's smart, well coached, athletic, and from a good program.

ragging on him? we love this commitment, I love this commitment. Go Mischler, go Cats. Some of us get so emotional that the meaning gets distorted. Welcome aboard Joe, we hope you go back to back.

I like this guy. Big arm and keeps his eyes downfield. He also gets the ball out right before the WR gets out of his brake for timing purposes (a WR's dream). To me he understands the game, and that comes from his dad being a coach. I'd give him a low 3 star rating just off being coachable, a championship caliber player, school tradition, opponents talent, and nice QB attributes despite size.

This seems like a signature pickup to me. Watching some of his highlights and really impressed with his poise. Let's Go Joe!!!!!

He moves into the throwing lanes well to compensate for his height, he will need to continue honing this skill because of how quickly defenders close at the next level. But I like this young man, if Russell Wilson can play quarterback at a high level why not Joe Mischler?

I agree, I may be bias, but I like his tape more than the 5'11 kid that Ohio State signed last year, granted that kid played against better competition, but Mischler can be great.

For a season and a half, TT was more than "decent". Ohio doesn't need a first team all-MAC QB to win the east, and then win in Detroit. They need one who is consistently good, and stays on the field. Here's to hoping that Joe can be that guy in a couple years!

Can't we shoot for the best? How do we know what it takes to win a MAC? We have not won a MAC in almost 50 years. Does TT have to be our ceilin? He was a midlevel MAC QB for most of his career and he regressed his last two years. Can we aim higher, please? Let's go Cats.

I like this commitment.

Offers from Ohio, Harvard and Columbia. In the link Ted posted his dad/coach mentions the school and the conference are a "perfect fit" for him. I think that is dead on.

Not only does this give him the opportunity to play D-1, but it's the opportunity to play D-1 in a very stable situation where you can come in feeling confident you're going to win some games. As a QB committing to Ohio under Frank Solich, you know you will have a team around you that is going to be well coached and will win some games. He is clearly intelligent and a hard worker. The potential for him here is awesome.

As someone else posted, the comments here seem to be pretty positive about this commit.

But,even if they weren't,I really don't think the comments from the few people who post on a Fan Board like BA would/should influence whether or not someone comes to any school.
