Rated 2 stars/5.4 from Rivals (6'5" 215)
https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2018/alec-burton-1...

Known to ESPN, but not rated (6'4" 206):
http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/pl...

Rated 3 stars by Scout (6'4" 220)
http://www.scout.com/player/214599-alec-burton?s=73

Not yet rated by 247Sports (6'5" 215)
http://247sports.com/player/alec-burton-46037616

Had offers from Ball State and EMU, plus Southern Ill, Western Ill, Eastern Ky, and Indiana State.

His Hudl:
http://www.hudl.com/profile/4207155/alec-burton

He was a tall TE/WR/DE in high school that could go up for the ball in traffic and catch it. He'll need to add some weight, in college to play TE since he's listed at 215.

They indicate that they have picked up 1 of four ratings. The .833 would be the 3-star rating from Scout. The 5.4 rating from Rivals will translate to about an 80 rating, so his composite will be about .815 once they pick it up. ESPN will never rate him, obviously, since he won't be a P5 recruit, and he'll end up with 3 ratings.

Burton named All-State in basketball. The IBCA all-state boys basketball teams were released today. https://t.co/681J3qWUeV https://t.co/tmnIOB1xFq&mdash ; Kyle Neddenriep (@KyleNeddenriep) https://twitter.com/KyleNeddenriep/status/976897055015792...
He's already on scholly and would look like a Carson Williams type player! Let's go Saul, bring him in! I forget his name but BG had a football player come in and do pretty well against us a couple of years ago.

Wasn't that when BG had a whole lot of players who were ineligible for some reason? I don't remember this too clearly, but I thought that was some kind of a temporary fix during a mini-scandal of some sort. Does anyone remember the details?

Also, who was the guy back several OHIO coaches ago who did play both sports? He didn't join the basketball team until after the football season was over. I think maybe he played two years. Might have been a guard or a small forward. Think this was during the Grobe Era in football.

Yes, Thomas Stephens. He played football and basketball in the 2000 and 2001 seasons as a freshman and sophomore. He became the starting point guard and played basketball only his junior and senior seasons. I believe all of that was after he sat out a year as a partial qualifier.

Yes, Stephens. That's the guy I was trying to remember. Thanks for the memory jog!

Bunch of them suspended for something, can't remember what. One season ago, not this past season. They had a few footballers, some of which were decent. We bombed them from 3 that game, where we usually struggle with BG at their place. I think we won by a lot, but not as many as we should have.

Also I think Tunji came to Ohio for football, but ended up being hoops only.

Tunji was already playing basketball when he tried out as a walkon WR one Spring, but he dropped football after Spring ball.

Tunji is well on his way to being one of the most successful former Bobcats. I see him shooting to the very top great kid.
