An Ohio commit, according to Dispatch. He's a first-team all-Ohio selection.

From today's article: "Collins, an Ohio University commit, was the linchpin for a dominant Hartley running game."

We now have verbals from 4 offensive lineman from Ohio.

A little thin but he has. 6’7” frame to work with.

I think he used to play tight end as well so he has some athleticism and probably some good feet.

He tweeted his commit to EKU in August. Nothing about Ohio. Ohio did recruit Bishop Hartley OL Patrick Gilliland last year. Collins listed at 6'7" 250lbs. Hudl has no updates this season, consistent with a player off the market. Did not find a 247 account. Here I am hoping Patrick Gilliland hosted him for the Buffalo game and he liked Ohio.

Collins is not committed and has not been offered by Ohio.

The above cut-and-paste was from a Nov. 28 Dispatch article. Then, the following from Nov. 28 article on the Dispatch all-Metro team selection mentions nothing of Collins committing to Ohio:

Lineman, Payton Collins (Hartley) 6-7, 250, sr. Coach Brad Burchfield rated Collins, a Division I prospect, as his most valuable player. Hartley averaged 330 yards rushing per game.
