Hopefully, he decides it’s better to be at the top of the MAC East than at the bottom of the Big Ten West. Also, got to think that he’ll have plenty of passing quarterbacks to go up against in the MAC.

so of course a verbal is not a binding LOI, but are there any unwritten rules about treatment or active recruitment of players who have committed?

Will it matter to anyone that illinois is a giant douchenozzle by pursuing Parodie?

This happens at all programs schools. Players are recruited until they actually sign.

Also, I believe we are 3-2 against them all-time; including the last game in 2006, a 20-17 victory. I think that should be worth something! ; )
That 2006 game was one for the ages.

Kalvin, TJ, Mark Parsons and Mr Matt Lasher had a hell of day that day. Juice William's mom was talking so much crap behind our bench that day. But on that play we didnt call a block punt. Josh Abrams used to block 2-3 kicks a week in practice. When I saw his get-off to go block I just followed him...really.

Most all the recruits this year are rated very highly. Ohio's average so far of 82.92 is the highest in the MAC. On the other hand, because Ohio has few Seniors this year, it will be a small recruiting class, and because the recruiting rankings include quantity as well as quality, Ohio's recruiting class is currently ranked last in the MAC:

Note also that there appears to be a significant amount of grade inflation. Every MAC school this year has an average rating of over 80, i.e. 3 stars. Go back to 2012, and you will see that no MAC school has an average over 79.
