Just saw this on Twitter. Looks like he came to campus and that did it for him. Seems like a huge win in recruiting! Welcome to the Bobcat Family big guy!

I was at the Ohio U. Inn on the evening of the 21st. Coach Solich and the staff had several recruits in for a dinner event. I would assume it was a welcome to Ohio U. event. Looks like it paid off big time and perhaps another one or two might come out of it. All the recruits looked like football players (athletic builds and size). All the coaches, staff, and recruits all were smiling and a good atmosphere.

That's a ton of offers. And I like the schools we are able to compete with to get these kids: App State, Cincy, Wake Forest, Troy, etc. Solid FBS schools.

Keep these Florida kids coming. Big help so far, particularly on defense and special teams: Marlin Brooks, J Hudson, J Hagan, Alvin Floyd, Zervos, with some more on the horizon-I thinks D Mitchell will show up bigger on special teams this year. And there is Daxon, who lived in miami, FL, if he has the impact for ohio folks think he might.

Also some kids on Offense from Florida who are set to possibly make an impact. High on Shane Hooks at WR. WR KJ Minter is in the mix and S Jackson and F Fernandez are in the mix for some offensive tackle depth. I think 'WWIII' Walter Wilbon III from Tampa FL could have an impact immediately. He is what Solich talks about with players who get early playing time-'Physically Mature.' At 5'11 210 pounds per 247 sports, his physical size (probably not strength) is on par with last year's RBs. Wonder what his speed is?

Arkley for the Athens Messenger is doing a series on position groups for 2019. He hasn't done one for LB yet but I'll be interested to see where florida kid TJ Robinson is on the depth chart. Coming out, I thought this was a guy who would make an impact. I think he had some injury issues and is only a RS Sophomore so probably more to come here

Then there is Tremayne Scott of Ocala, Fla. coaching DTs and a living example of Florida to Ohio success.

He's definitely a football player. He's a great addition to the program. If Ohio can't have regional camps around the state, they need to land more guys like Ralph.

Great point! T Scott was from Florida and fantastic. He helped recruit DT Daxon from Fla per 247 sports and may have had a hand in recruiting Ralph Mency?

Never underestimate the impression the Sook Academic Center makes on parents. Has to be a huge plus.
Whatever happens on the field my son will have the academic resources to be successful in class.

liked Arkley's article on the linebackers.... sounds like a bright spot for the Bobcat's future.

I think that if a kid has been committed for months and still refers to Ohio as the University of Ohio on social media you probably never really had him.
