With only ten I’m sure this class will more than double.

I spent yesterday perusing videos with my wife giving me support like….What the heck are you doing?….and…..That music sucks!

So no rating scale but I’ve always looked at classes through the following concepts:

Are there any game changers?

Will some fill areas of need?

Will some see any PT next year?

Game changers are the toughest as few surface immediately and some take time to see the field.
We have two that really stick out for me.
All could be in certain games but these two are off the charts with 4 and 5 star ratings.

RB Fisher gets rave reviews from Coach TT and don’t laugh but he reminds me of Barry Sanders..

K/P Vakos is a 5 star kicker whose high school coaches believe will play football on Sundays.

Areas of need is the most important area to me and DBs Mullins and McCullum for sure do that. I’m excited to hopefully see some tackling back there.

Linemen get dinged so adding two who can pressure the QB is a big plus. Buell and Hillsman are decent athletes in that 260-280 range.

The OL guy Van Every blocks like a bulldog and can play center and guard.

I can’t forget WR and Harris and Jones are good ones…..both big and fast in that 4.5 and 6’1”-6’3” range.

The final ? Of PT should be easy for this group. Maybe all except the QB Wither.

Finally with classes for me you always get Peter Pan Advice. Most of us hope for the best so it’s always from me :

Thanks, Doc. You've given me hope that there might be light at the end of the Albin tunnel. I'm always a little leery of loading up too much on JUCO talent, but if this is just a stop gap measure that will be followed by more high school recruits, I'm all for it. In the long run, I think we need lots of four-year guys, but if we get a little extra oomph out of some JUCO that would be wonderful. We were very close to winning four or five more games this year, and if this is what it takes, I'm completely on board!

Programs will often need to fill spots, and will turn to JUCO to fill them. The more JUCO players they take the more holes they must have. The problem is that, while it does fill them, a couple years later the hole is back, and usually there are more holes. When you start seeing more than about 5 JUCO players, that isn't a sign of a healthy program. If they take 6 this year, but only 1 next year, it will average out, but we'll have to see how it goes.
