Rather than computing a percentage of times you get points, I compute "points per trip", figuring 7 for a TD and 3 for a FG. I know that a TD can sometimes be 6 or 8, but 7 is close enough. On Offense, the MAC looks like:

Quick question: when does the red-zone start in your numbers? I feel like our defensive numbers (bad as they are at 5.1 points-per-trip) are benefiting from the large number of long-scores we've given up

Once there are more conference games, I only look at the MAC-game-only stats, which equalizes the numbers.


Ohio has given up a crazy number of long-field scores. Yet, even when the field is shortened, in a red-zone situation, Ohio isn't doing all that well.
