If you give Tim Albin 12 plays inside the five yard line, he’ll get you a touchdown every time.

Assuming Rourke, Irons, Lowery and Ross don't play (ugh), then it's really tough sledding for Ohio.

Maxwell will be the key to the game. IF he can get the passing game going, connect on some intermediate or even a couple of long passes to Papi White or Cameron Odom, and consequently prevent NIU from stacking the line of scrimmage, then Ohio has a chance. If the passing game's a dude and NIU puts 8 men in the box, AJ will have nowhere to run.

I think CMoney's score prediction is spot on, but I will go with:

NIU - 41
Ohio - 17

Ohio's injuries doom them in this game. But I will be more than happy to eat a little crow for dinner tomorrow night!
Cmon man.

It’s my birthday and they promised me a win.

Well hopefully in honor of your birthday I'm eating crow for dinner tomorrow night!!
Got that crow in the oven yet.

Can this defense stop anybody when it counts?

Can the offense score one when it really counts?

7 turnovers the past 2 weeks .... gotta place blame on players and not coaches.

Poor offensive line play and horrible defense coordinating, and face guarding cost us this game.

I think everyone thought we would sort of reload on the defense. That sure didn’t happen. And the offensive line has not been able to do what everyone expected. A real downer for me. I expected way too much. Is a bowl probable? Not really.

A bowl is possible, but so what when 70 teams (or something like that) go bowling.

Where were the defensive adjustments to Childers getting his gold jacket against us? What about the face guarding. The coaches share some of the blame.

I stated the success for us this year will be if Rourke can cut his turnover in 1/2.
Through 6 game he is +4 over last year. His total last year was 12.

This game was lost due to turnovers especially on our second to last drive when we were in their territory.

Albin and the Ohio coaching staff still doesn't understand game theory. You have these one type of plays that average more yards an attempt than another type of play. In this case, passing plays average 12.0 and running 1.4. So you choose to call 23 pass plays and 32 run plays.

As frustrating as Childers was, we did very well to take away the rest of their offense. You can't lose the turnover battle 3 - 0 on the road and expect to win. We turn it over way too much. two MAC games, SEVEN MOTHER F**KING TURNOVERS. AJ used to be lock down, now he seems to fumble a lot. Nathan simply fumbles too much and that INT really hurt. other than that, he was really really on the money today. He's starting to look like the expectations... but two turnovers negate that. This season could spiral from here because Miami is catching fire. 5-3 doesn't win this division. We need to get on a roll against the softer part of our schedule.

I don't think it really matters. I think Buffalo could win out. I see Ohio at 4-4 (lose @ WMU, lose @ Miami and at home to Buffalo).

Other than the season-ending game against Akron, I can’t predict Ohio winning any other games in November, which I think is what Ted’s saying. :)

Wow, this is turning into one of the most frustrating/disappointing seasons in Ohio football that I can remember. And, look, I've seen a few good seasons of OHIO football and a lot of bad seasons the last 60 years. At this point, I hope this staff realizes their program has become pretty stale, predictable and unexciting. Sometimes, it is just time to say we have had a good run but it is time to ride into the sunset and turn the program over to a new crew.

Oh, a bowl game this year? Guys, unless things turn around real fast we will be lucky to win 5 games.

We just don’t have the belief to win close games in most cases. We were up 21-9 and you could feel a potential L coming on. The middle of the field was open, our linebackers couldn’t get off blocks and once again the coverage. On the offensive side, our te got manhandled along with most of the line. Ithey kept handing off to irons on first down, classic albin. This may be as good as it gets.

Akron has a running QB, we may get handled, like we did last year.
