Irish fans also consider the fate of Frank.

Ball State played in ND early and not against their midseason form. Early season always has some fluky games.

Aside from Ball St hanging with them the whole game, Notre Dame looked relatively better early season than they do now. They real early season fluke may have been Notre Dame beating Michigan.

If ND makes the 4 team playoff. They will get run off the field.

Agree. I feel like they will make it (win out), but they are a level below in my mind. In fact, I predict UCF would probably beat them by 7-10 points.

I was pleasantly surprised how badly the Cats beat Ball State.

Even if their QB had not been injured I still think it would have been a 21+ point win.

Just hoping they saved a little offense for the rest of the season :)

Speaking of Notre Dame: I know USC will be about a .500 team this year, but they will be at home in the season finale and seem to be the best possibility to knock the Irish off. Of course seeing how close Pitt played ND, any of their remaining home games pose a bit of a threat, too as Northwestern, Syracuse and FSU will all want to notch a signature win. Syracuse could very well roll into South Bend at 8-2 with nothing to lose!
