From 5:30 to 6:30 this evening, kids in Athens will be in the streets all over town for our annual trick or treat. For those of you coming to town early for the game or those who will be heading to the game or uptown using any of the neighborhood streets, watch out for the ghouls and goblins.

Could you imagine Upper Arlington scheduling trick-or-treating during a Buckeye game, regardless of the day of the game? And people wonder why Ohio Football games are put in time slots up against WSOP reruns and CSI Gary, IN.

Tradition. As progressive a town as many think Athens is, in reality it is quite conservative on many things. Heck, I've been fighting a battle for a year to allow the lighted sign in front of our city rec building to be allowed to change more than once a day.
