I haven’t heard about our “abysmal” defense or how Solich can’t coach or recruit good players anymore. Lol
That’s why I have been arguing the opposite. Our defense is young and bound to struggle early. I knew they would improve. And I have no doubts as to whether Solich can coach and recruit.
I left early for the bar at the end of the 3rd quarter because of a big lead helped by that defense. Since you knew they would improve, and they have, would you care use your crystal ball to offer up some numbers for the next Power Ball drawing and send them my way in a PM?
Too late. A single mom from Iowa won it. I already invited her to Red Lobster.
So you're that guy from Happy Gilmore......
Umm, Red Lobster is way classier than Sizzler. You don’t invite a millionaire to Sizzler.

Is Sizzler still a thing? I feel like I haven't seen one since '96ish.

Ponderosa was still a thing in Athens for a longer time than most places. Maybe Sizzler is still a thing somewhere? Probably in Huntington.

There are few things on earth I enjoy more than finding a chain restaurant I thought was defunct. Like the Rax in Athens and Bellefontaine in the early 2000's. Or finding a Bonanza or Ponderosa Steakhouse randomly in a small Indiana town.

There's always that dream I'm going to be driving around and BAM! a Bill Knapp's is going to randomly pop up somewhere along a Tennessee road.

I don't care if they're actually terrible restaurants. Memories can't be terrible.

I can confirm that there is no Sizzler in Huntington. And the Ponderosa was bulldozed last year and rebuilt into a Texas Roadhouse. Shoney's also closed last year.

However, there still is a Ponderosa across the river in South Point, and there is a Rax in Ironton.

Not unlike my dream of tuning into a Seinfeld rerun and catching an episode I've never seen before (0% chance of happening).

And I GUARANTEE there will be people thinking we're happy to say "told you so"

Couldn't be more false

I'd much rather be on here talking about a MAC East title game next week vs. Buffalo.

Instead, we are going back and forth about how in year 14, Ohio can't get over the hump (again) ... but it's not the coaches fault.

Folks that are newer to this .... drink it up. It never goes down easy. But it's the same drink a lot of us have been drinking for a long time ... and no matter how much you tell the bartender you don't want it ... you eventually end up with it in front of you.

Ohio football will NEVER get over the hump with this staff. They just won't. They have proven for years that they cannot lead this team to a championship.

That's not me saying Frank should be fired. I don't think Frank should EVER be fired ... but it wouldn't be the worst thing if he maybe shook up the coaching staff and brought some fresh blood in that have a new perspective. The Albin/Burrow combo has run it's course. The loyalty is an anchor around the program's neck. Too many bright, young minds out there that could come in and send a jolt into the program ... and get them over that illusive hump.

But we know Frank will NEVER do that, right?
