Get this. If Buffalo loses Friday and Ohio wins, Fiami would win the East based on tiebreakers. The MACCG then would have 6-6 Fiami vs 7-5 NIU. This probably would be the worst combined records ever for the MACCG teams.

The only thing that would make that perfect would be if it was played on a Wednesday night on ESPN+

Actually, we could have. We just didn't. We had a 4th quarter lead vs NIU and blew it. And we were an errant FG attempt (due to the massive sucking in Oxford) away from beating Fiami.

Yup. I have no doubts we are the best team in the conference this year. To put it another way, we would be favored at a neutral site against any other MAC team. Other years when the chances slipped away, it felt acceptable to me because I never felt we were the best team in the conference. This year it stings to not get a shot.

I agree. I felt the same thing about last year as well (see Ohio vs Toledo result in 2017).
