The West is getting dominated early in these bowl games. Looks like UAB took some plays from OUs Bahama Bowl last year and stuck it to NIU on the first drive. Can NIU keep pace of UABs scoring? They look like a totally different team than the one we played in a bowl game last year.

UAB up 27-10 at the half. However, NIU was down by 19 or 20 to Buffalo in the MAC championship game before pulling it out, so don’t sleep on NIU just yet.

Never mind.....

The MAC sucks in bowl games. Embarrassing. Hopefully the trend ends with Ohio, again.

Most of these smaller bowl games are not much more than a glorified scrimmage to a lot of teams anymore. It's probably going to be another year of when Ohio is the only MAC team to win a bowl.

MAC teams can't lose every bowl game if they don't lose the first two. The conference is painful to watch.

Such a bizarre statement. Why is a bowl game not a glorified scrimmage to Ohio? They typically play in these smaller bowl games. Are they the only MAC team that tries in bowl games?

Did anybody get any update on the kid from UAB that got carted off? I always get a pit in my stomach seeing that happen. Especially to a senior in his last game.

I was thinking about this last night while watching this blowout:

As NIU was heading in for a TD in the 4th quarter, the ball was knocked out of the RBs hands at the goal line. It was ruled a fumble through the endzone. It went to a video review, but there was no clear angle of the goal line play. I get that it didn't affect the game's outcome, but...

Why is the heck is there NOT a camera at the goal line for a bowl game? Are cameras hard to come by now? There's a camera in everyone's pocket. There's a camera in most cars. There's a camera in kids toys. Why can't there be a camera in the pylon?

There was a GL feed, but a player was blocking part of the action. Maybe we just need a kahoot type system. All the armchair QB/Referees can click a button and the majority can make the call. Solid call on the field.

The angles I saw were not over the goal line and I recall the announcers saying they didn't have a camera exactly on the goal line.
