NIU just knows how to win MAC championship games. What a comeback.
The ESPN guys mentioned that it was their biggest comeback since the 2011 MACCG.
I cringed when they said that.

The game showed the importance of the kicking game. A missed PAT made the difference.

It sure did! I thought the game was over when Buffalo went up 29-10. I was going to post wondering how could Ohio lose to NIU and how could Buffalo lose so badly to Ohio. Glad I waited.

NIU should be very, very proud of this well won MAC title. NIU's two-deep shows they will lose only seven seniors from that depth chart. NIU, Buffalo, Ohio, Toledo, Western Michigan, 2019, there will be a favorite, but, then there will be the struggle. Whichever team rises to the title in 2019, it will again be one to be proud of and certainly will have to be well won. There will be fans from the top MAC programs who feel their teams should win in 2019, but, no one really knows how it will play out. Like 2018, with four/five teams who might have won the MAC, 2019 will again com down to mighty struggles determined by tight games. NIU will not be stepping aside for anyone, but, there are teams right there with them.

In my Lee Corso voice......"Not so fast sweetheart." NIU is the top sacking team in the conference and have an All-American in Sutton. Buffalo struggles with teams that have good corners and NIU tackles well. If OU couldn't put 52 on NIU. BUFFALO won't either. NIU 24 - Buffalo 14. Offense MVP - Spencer Tears. Defense MVP - Sutton.
Good call, 21. Remember, the Bulls tanked against OU and Army. I was glad to see NIU take the game, probably because of the arrogance of the Buffalo staff people in Peden prior to the game here. Just sayin'.

I was so happy to see NIU come back to pick their pocket.

I have respect for NIU-none for SUNY at Buffalo. Hope Lance takes a job somewhere else.
