Hope so...but a LOT of seniors to replace on offense. Don't know that we have another AJ or Joe Lowery ready to plug in...

Best case scenario: new playmakers step-up at RB and WR as we cruise to MACC.
Worst case scenario: we struggle to replace guys like Papi, Ouellette and Irons so Rourke is forced to rush for 1500 yards as we cruise to MACC.

2018 should have been our year. We were a damn good team that stumbled to some close losses. We were the best team in the MAC and didn't even get a shot in Detroit. If you scheduled us against any MAC team at a neutral site next week, Vegas would have us as 7+ point favorites.

I hope this success carries into next year, but you never know what the future holds when rosters turn over so much. It is a shame we let Miami/NIU (not to mention UC) slip away, this could've been a really special year.

I really like our up and coming running backs. In the small amount of time they've been on the field this season, they dominated just as much as AJ or Irons.

Congratulations to the seniors on exceptional college careers. They got to be a big part of a golden age of Ohio football.

+1. This is exactly where I'm at too. But it still was a good year and Ohio did us proud.

Watching last night's game, it's beyond clear OHIO is playing like the best team in the MAC and its not even close. Can you imagine if we had beaten Cinci? Heck, we should have. I like to think that Ohio is actually the 2nd best college football team in Ohio and I'm serious. Other than OSU, who's better? Toledo? Nope. Cinci? I'd play them again right now in a heartbeat, Ohio would win.

Before this season I felt quite confident Ohio would win a championship. I was wrong, but after seeing how the season played out I agree with you that Ohio had the best team. They just fell short in a couple games.

It was still a successful season. A lot of teams would have folded the tents after the MACC was out of reach, but Ohio didn't. They finished stronger than ever, with dominating wins over Buffalo, Akron, and SDSU. The seniors can go out with their heads held high. But I do imagine everyone coming back in 2019 will feel like there's some unfinished business to take care of.
