Back when the original black unis were introduced, some on this board went ballistic. But the players liked them and they won. If it helps to motivate the players, let 'em wear what they want.
For what it is worth, I think we would have won by the same margin if we'd been wearing another more traditional uniform. Sorry for the sacrilege. ;-)

Maybe we should come out with a special scarlet and gray uniform. That would get some attention.

I agree with a few of the posters. Would you buy space on a billboard for your business that nobody could read? If you're paying attention, you might as well pay attention.

I'm guessing that the team designated as the "home" team gets to choose? You couldn't have both teams wearing black unis.

I'm done with black alternates. Done. It's a 10-year-old fad that was cool at the time but has run its course. I hate that we have it in football and basketball. Let's get back to our actual colors and be creative in design, but stick with our colors.

I think I read somewhere this year that the coaches were letting the players pick the uni combos this year.

Those who get paid to make those decisions are the ones that matter tbh and it looks like the Athletes are happy with that so no one else really counts.

I cannot recall exactly which games we all black but I think maybe they outscored their opponent in that combo maybe 300-75 or something in that range.

The Black look has run its course for me as well but would be much more acceptable if the arch Ohio was the original design from a few years back. This version is terrible.

As long as OHIO is somewhere on the uniform, I will go with what ever our players vote on as a team. Now I have my favorites, but I do not play for the Bobcats!

AGREE! Thought this as soon as I saw them at Bowl Game. Would have liked to see our colors. The black helmets were a little too dull. "GET YOUR GREEN ON" ! But the highlight was winning a Bowl Game, seeing the offense roll and getting a BIG SHUT OUT. GREAT WIN for The CATS !

As often as these things are worn anymore, I'd say the traditional colors are the alternative.

I'd rather have the black unis than the putrid gray ones that EMU, Northwestern and a a few other schools have adopted. Yyyyyyyuck.
