I was thinking about this last night while watching this blowout:
As NIU was heading in for a TD in the 4th quarter, the ball was knocked out of the RBs hands at the goal line. It was ruled a fumble through the endzone. It went to a video review, but there was no clear angle of the goal line play. I get that it didn't affect the game's outcome, but...
Why is the heck is there NOT a camera at the goal line for a bowl game? Are cameras hard to come by now? There's a camera in everyone's pocket. There's a camera in most cars. There's a camera in kids toys. Why can't there be a camera in the pylon?
There was a GL feed, but a player was blocking part of the action. Maybe we just need a kahoot type system. All the armchair QB/Referees can click a button and the majority can make the call. Solid call on the field.
