Wow, not much different than the Aztec Mesa message board!
Is there a large following of SDSU fans that are hoping they are next in line for expansion? Or are they happy where they are in the MWC? Because if so, you'll fit right in.
The "prevailing pipe dream" of AZTEC FB fans is that the PAC12 will expand & accept them. Most of us realize that a SDSU FB & BB on an equal footing with the other PAC teams would cut into their recruiting, something they don't want. Big12? travel would be lengthy, perhaps the 12 would like the WC TV market.
Given what I know and have read about both of those conferences, you're probably better off at the moment anyhow. The PAC 12 is a mess and it all stems from the top; their leadership is garbage. The Big 12 seemingly doesn't want to do anything in a hurry.

Should be a good game though and I'm looking forward to it. Two old football coaches in what I expect to be an old school type game.

So I went searching and found the above. Great article. And, I love the PAC 12 commissioner. Hilarious. Getting paid the most and not anywhere near bringing in the most cash. Too funny. Anyway the money per school is way better than what SD St. gets now so I'm sure it would be a quick yes if asked.

Seems like San Diego is a huge enough market for the PAC12 or Big12 to want to expand there. Especially with the Chargers leaving town. Strange.

The PAC's attitude is: they don't need SDSU, they already own that TV market.

Ah, well the Big12 it is then.... Wouldn't that be fun for you guys to stick it to the Pac12 and steal that market?

If the B12-10 adds SDSU without adding either UC or Memphis, they are going to have a war on their eastern frontier. The Mountaineers ain't gonna be happy.

I had thought going West for the Big 12 would have been smarter than East since its so crowded that direction. Put in 4 schools out west and the travel for SDSU wouldn't be so bad. SDSU, BYU, Colorado St, Boise St could have worked with Texas Tech, Baylor going in that division. WVU is such an odd fit.

http://rotoworld.com/articles/cfb/84794/441/ats-bowl-pick...

Here’s a link to a pretty lengthy breakdown on Rotoworld. There’s a lot more in the article but I’ll just quote their final prediction:

“One last thing to leave you with: For a team like Ohio that has struggled against the best teams on its schedule, it has to concern you that MAC teams over the last 10 years of bowls are 20-34-3 ATS (hat tip for the trend to professional handicapper and Twitter friend Kyle Hunter). Ohio hasn't fared well in steps-up in competition. Neither has its conference. San Diego State represents a step up in competition, and I think they’ll spring what on paper will be considered an upset.

The pick: San Diego State +3 “

Hard to argue those stats. Hope the prognostication is wrong .... EMU fell first ... we'll see how NIU fares vs UAB

Ted, very nice video. Thanks for posting.

Can anyone tell me what it is they say at the very end after, "One, two, three, four . . ."? I've listened to that ending four times, and I can't make it out. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The MAC off to another magical bowl season. NIU got pounded. Makes this projection more valid? Let's hope Ohio does what it did last year and salvages the league name at least for one game.

The MAC is 1-12 over the last two-plus bowl seasons. The lone win was Ohio's victory over UAB last year.

BTW, just saw an Internet ad for SDSU vs Ohio on Sling. Didn't know we had such drawing power.

I just keep thinking this game's going to come down to Nathan Rourke. SDSU will be able to limit Ohio's ground game somewhat. SDSU's defense is legit. With the ground game limited, can Rourke take the team on his back and make the passes needed to stretch SDSU's defense? Can Rourke win the game for Ohio in the 4th quarter if the game's close?

And, is Ohio hungry to win this game like they were last year when they entered the Bahamas Bowl on a 2 game losing streak?

Coach Long will try to test us early with a deep ball to Trevilion on our corners. That will back in us up and then he will try to pound it. We have to play smart early so we dont fall behind early. Both teams haven't played in a few weeks. So the game, to me, comes down to turnovers. Who can create the most?

So much for the vaunted SDSU run defense. In just over a quarter and a half Ohio has already matched what SDSU allows per game. And their offense is even worse than I thought.
