Saul is in top three with Groce & Oats ... just not sure in what order

Saul's deal was partially paid for by the buy out of his predecessors contract.
Having said this, I still think we over paid for Saul. This was his 1st D1 job and recruiting at the D1 level is much different than what he was accustomed to. The results bear out this fact.

You can’t waterboard the realist with koolaid. Bshot has some great points and Excat 21 has great passion. The coaches can shut us up with a MAC. I think we are all happy overall but there is disappointment , when you see a post that says congrats frank on going 8-4, he would even be surprised by that. He wants more, so let’s either join him or respect the people that agree with him. I have made a conscious effort to lower my expectations but I get followed by two posters who are wmotional about my ambitions. One follows my post and says that I wanted to possibly recruit a kid that had an aledged sexual assault claim against. This person doesn’t realize that we signed roger Lewis who was actually charged with sexual assault because our coaches knew the the details. He tries to hit me and b shot and he is an easy win. I actually like the guy so I didn’t want to point this out, he is a new jack, he hasn’t watched the program since 96, the other person takes my compliment and mixes them up with issues that don’t correlate positively. Stop trying to Change bshot. His goals are aligned with coach solich’s goals. Most of all we can’t replay this year, we can only learn from it so let’s win this bowl game, have a good spring and summer and let’s stArt off strong and play all 4 quarters next year. Go Cats

To get back on topic.....

I really like Ohio's ground game chances here. The key as always is getting Rourke in rhythm early and often against a good ballclub. Definitely a solid barometer game for the state of our program and a win here would be a very nice booster.

That said, the athletes for SDSU I think match up pretty well with us and have the colts to run on our defense. They will do so early and do so often I feel and will come down to our offense managing this game effectively.

SDSU 28

I miss green and white

DITTO!! Bring back the Green and White! In 2 of Ohio’s 3 bowl wins, Ohio was wearing all white and in the 3rd, Ohio had the green helmet and pants with white jersey. Ohio has never won a bowl game in all-black unis. Just sayin’.....

I know the offense put up great numbers outside of Miami/NIU MAC games.

However, I am hoping that the offensive scheme has a great "Papi" emphasis in the his final Bobcat game.

Take a look at the Browns in the last few games and several other NFL teams creative plays for handing off to the slots and wideouts.

I'd just love to see a pistol snap just as a slot passes the QB from one side, in the case of the Browns, from the left. QB fakes to the wideout heading right and the defense relaxes on that side because no ball coming their way and then a moment later another guy comes in motion following the other and the inside handoff occurs. This ball carrier has the blocker in front and a defense that buys into the play will be going left. It worked twice for the Browns--a touchdown and later an extremely long gainer.

Papi is the man and nothing in the game is more exciting than seeing a running play that sets up and goes yard! Papi is a top notch receiver but he also could have been excellent getting several touches a game on handoffs and we seldom saw it.

Run Papi, run! Hope you have all of Oklahoma at the game watching you live. Please coaches, don't just throw to him, bring on all kinds of plays for him! Last chance to see OHIO's Dri Archer in action in the Green and White.

So a bit of trivia: which #28?

The "prevailing pipe dream" of AZTEC FB fans is that the PAC12 will expand & accept them. Most of us realize that a SDSU FB & BB on an equal footing with the other PAC teams would cut into their recruiting, something they don't want. Big12? travel would be lengthy, perhaps the 12 would like the WC TV market.
