Based on what I've seen at a few practices and one scrimmage, very surprised the freshman punter is not No. 1. Transfer Magnus Haines has looked "rough."

Good to see Marsh on 2 deep. He should be a good one. Evan Herrman could surprise and see some PT.

Agree that Waite and DeWark should get a chance. Marinaro at Center brings some experience.

In the old days of bad records we seemed to have zero depth. This team may be one of OUr deepest. Will need to see if that results in a decent season.

Linebacker could be the key and agree depth here looks ok with true freshman like Christopher and Minnis. Hollabaugh and Williams are missiles and could be the missing ingredients for success.

Looking at the depth chart, I was rooting for Andres DeWerk to make it to the starting O-Line. For a big guy at 6'7" 328 lbs., you'd think he'd be there. Maybe he'll get a chance at the home opener vs. WVU?

I can see the all-around depth of this team along with the potential. Just a matter of putting the right players in the right spots.

- Nice to see Jay Crable crack the 2-deep, I've been waiting for him. He's put on more than 30 pounds since coming to Athens as an athlete essentially. (Dad is Shawn Crable All-American at Michigan, played for the Patriots)

- Little weird not seeing the folks previously named, but who knows man. I saw an article yesterday about a kid who has changed his commitment NINE times since last year. Hope to God we don't start having holds outs at this level.

- Obviously, it's week one, but I'm a little surprised to see Kemeni or Hyatt not starting. Though I don't know who I would sit in favor of either one. Strong depth back there.

- Pius has been getting as much if not more praise than anyone this spring, so that's awesome. He's a big boy at DT.

- And Molnar must've had himself a hell of an offseason. I didn't find him in (any) box score from last season. In 2023, he had 9 tackles. I'm sure LB will be a plug and play all through the non-con.

- Poulos is a giant. Boals should see if he has some free time to play PF in January. Hope to see Tim Carpenter in some packages.

Just a few observations:
I saw Crable uptown the other day. He has totally changed his physique. Looks ready to play around the line of scrimmage.Glad to see Seegars staring. He was good in limited run last season.
The D line is full of transfers so there is unknown there the secondary is full of veterans and familiar faces. The back 5 appear to be a strength.
If Sieh never leaves that would be seven or so returning starters on Offense. Pugh and Gossett are the depth at WR. After that I would have no idea.
LBs athletic but unproven. Molnar had made the switch nicely before the knee. Wishing him luck as he has worked his way back.
The o line is intriguing. Shed, Spoon, Allen and Jones all have starting experience. Excited to see who else they can mix in and get reps.
with over 50 players leaving this roster has plenty of potential.

Plus Molnar won't have to do it all alone. Fries is ready and Williams and Hollobaugh are plug and play so we have 4 quality dudes there at that spot. And look at the size of Kemeni. Yikes..dude is huge.
