I saw last week that on some site we received $750,000.00 for the DXL Frisco bowl.
Does anyone know if this is the largest payout we have received for a bowl game? Also, do we have to share this payout with the conference?

There are a couple other threads on this. All payouts go to the Conference. The Conference then gives a share to the bowl teams to cover their expenses, perhaps $3-400,000. Whatever is left goes is split equally among all conference teams. The amount split also includes the MAC share of the playoff funds.

On paper, I believe the highest payout bowl we ever went to was the Independence Bowl. That's because it is a slightly "higher end" bowl that typically features P5 teams. However, I heard that the payout was negotiated down to a more typical MAC/Sun Belt rate for our game vs. UL-Monroe.
