Who makes the cut for the all-time defense under Coach Burrow? I'd say the shoo-ins are TJ Carrie, Mike Mitchell, and Tarell Basham. I'd nominate Jameson Hartke as well. There could be a pretty nasty D created.

Poling, Blair Brown and Chad Moore were special. Landon Cohen, Muncy a lot of solid players.

Tom Brady, a great pro QB may not be the best to have played while in maize and blue.

Therefore, I would take Posey over TJ Carrie. One of the Leftwichs is in the mix at the corner as well.

I also think the Nathan Carpenter had as many big plays as any Bobcat defender that I can recall. Who can forget his effort vs Marshall in securing victory?

His name escapes me but the defensive end that absolutely dominated in the one bowl game was able to get to the QB like no other I've seen in a Bobcat uniform whose name isn't Basham.

I think the MLB position is the most difficult. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we had Noah Keller, Matt Muncy and Quentin Poling all patrol the middle, correct? That's a pretty impressive group.

That's who I was thinking of too... I for whatever reason his name escapes me now too... and he is a coach now, right? He was hurt and badly missed a lot of his senior season.

Are you guys talking about the guy that got some key sacks and stops in the Pitt game? If so, I can't remember his name either. I think he was something like a sophomore for that first Got Frank season. He was kind of a tall, lanky guy with great strength.

#4 Omar Leftwich shame he got that debilitating hip injury could've been a pro..cool story he refused to sue OU Dr/Trainers for misdiagnosis played his entire last season hurt and helped win the First Bowl game with a torn up hip joint and OSU Medical said one game after Boise they'd have to do hip replacement. He had surgery and retired now works for Mercedes Benz in Lorain

What group has produced better college players? Not necessarily went on to be pros...

LBs (Muncy, Poling, Keller, Brown, Moore, etc. )

DBs (Byrum, Wright, Carrie, Hagan, Mitchell, Ward, etc.)

I don't think Ohio has necessarily had the depth on the D-Line to put them in the discussion. Great indvidual talents for sure, but it seemed like for a while there was a plug-n-play situation in the LB and DB groups during certain periods of the regime.
