Looks like the MAC has a new bowl game. Paired against another MWC team. Arizona in December sounds niice.

I like it. This bowl appears to be played in late December, well after Christmas. This means that if Bobcats are in this bowl, I will likely be able to attend.

I've been to Tuscon for Christmas before. Its a small city with a lot of retirement/vacation condos. Old Tuscon studios where majority of Hollywood westerns were shot is an attraction and San Xavier mission. Ground zero for the Saguaro cactus. Good staging point for other activities in the Tombstone, Bisby, Phoenix and of course the Grand Canyon (6 hours). One time returning from one of these trips we found a family of pigs hanging out on the porch of our condo. Wild boar (Javelina) is as common as squirrel

That's wonderful. We were all on pins and needles wondering if you could make it.

At least this time, OCF spared us the reason why he can't make it to most of the bowl games Ohio has played in.

I cannot wait for the posts where he lets us know that he has been or is currently on vacation to explain his lack of posting.

Hopefully we get to see a Ohio vs. Boise State game. Really looking forward to that game one day.

This year wouldn't be too soon for that. I like your idea.

So if we go to this game does it mean we're not MAC champions? The article doesn't say that this affects Mobile as being the bowl game of choice for MAC champs.

No it does not state that. I will research but it should be the for champions. Lots of new bowls are coming in 2020 so they are re-positioning the Power 5 teams.

There really hasn't been that kind of thing in existence for quite a few years. The MAC just tries to create the best match-ups and send teams to different bowls than the ones they've been in. The MAC champion did not go to Mobile this past year or in 2016. MAC champions the last several years in order have gone to Boca, Mobile, Cotton, Mobile, Boca, Detroit, Orange.

I've lived in Tucson (specifically Marana) for the past five years. Great small city. Easy to get around without the traffic that Phoenix has. Would assume the game would be held at the Arizona University stadium. A great venue with a true campus atmosphere. Lots and lots to do right here in Tucson metro area and more very nearby. Weather in late December normally very accommodating. Should be very golf friendly. High Sonoran desert. You will be surprised how green our desert is. Plus....the highest concentration of Saguaro Cactus in the world.
End of Chamber of Commerce report.
