Just as we figured. The opposite of this season. Hope the Redhawks and Huskies games are on a Saturday in late September or October, but wouldn't want to put money on that happening.

Wow. Kind of surprised they just went to a straight flip of the cross-divisional games.

Here's my guess based on past history

vs URI (Saturday)
at Pitt (Saturday)
at Marshall(Saturday)
vs Lousiana (Saturday)
at BG (Saturday)
vs Kent (Saturday)
at Ball St (Saturday)
vs WMU (Saturday)
OFF
vs Miami (Tuesday)
at Buffalo (Wednesday)
vs NIU (Wednesday)
at Akron (Friday)

I just don't see them screwing Ohio for another year and allowing only three Saturday home games.

If they do, then the MAC can really go **** themselves.

I hope I'm wrong on Miami being on a weeknight ... would love to squeeze a 5th Saturday home game.

And I can't see them wanting Kent/Ohio on a weeknight TV game? Maybe swap out Miami/WMU home games?

I'm with bshott - there had better never be another season with only 3 Saturday home games. I also wish the MAC would stop rolling the best games into the Tues/Wed night games all the time. Let Miami vs OU be on a Saturday, as an example.

I think the MAC publishes the schedule and ESPN picks the games they want on TV. That is why Ohio, Toledo, Western and NI are on TV during the middle of the week alot. Not for certain, but guessing that is correct.

I would expect those to be the 4 weeknight games. Miami has seemed to be Halloween week a lot recently. For some reason ESPN and the MAC seem to think Ohio vs. Akron on Black Friday is a great idea.

I wanted Toledo on the schedule. That way for sure we would have the toughest MAC schedule.

The two road losses of this year Miami and NIU are both at home this year which is a good thing. Akron and BGSU are on the road but breaking in first year guys. Figuring they'll run off miscreants (which half their programs anyway) they should be a total mess for next season.

Yep. The best teams get screwed every year.

Sutton Smith announces he is going to the NFL. That helps.

How are we looking next year compare to Miami? They are probably the most competition of anyone on the schedule at this moment. Ragland is graduating so its unclear what type of a threat they'll be with a new QB.

I have no idea what Ohio's record will be in 2019, but guessing the Oxford game with our rivals will be circled and that will be a win. Payback. Just like the Akron game was this November, to end the season.

Heard a rumor Wimbush grad transfer from ND to Miami. Something to keep an eye on.

Is this rumor being stirred by an allen on hawktalk.com? Not one mention of this possibility on either of the 2 ND message boards I frequently peruse.

Actual:

vs URI (Saturday)
at Pitt (Saturday)
at Marshall(Saturday)
vs Louisiana (Saturday)
OFF
at Buffalo (Saturday)
vs NIU (Saturday)
vs Kent (Saturday)

vs Miami (Wednesday)

at BG (Tuesday)
at Akron (Tuesday)

Kind of surprised UB and NIU got Saturday nods. I'm not complaining ... I'd much rather see NIU on a Peden Saturday. But again, kind of sucks that by Oct 20 the home season at Peden is essentially over ... unless you are a glutton for punishment and enjoy those midweek trainwrecks.
