In my opinion, Joe lowery is one of the best Ohio players since the late 1980s and the offensive line the last 2 years is also among the best. We know all know the names of the oline starters but for a dude like Steven Hayes to come in mid-season and play starter's minutes was fantastic. Could you imagine trying to keep your wind when you've been on the bench for 6 weeks and now you are the starter?
I hope Lowery gets drafted by a stable team who can stash him at the back of the roster and let him grow for a year or so. His athletic ability for a dude that big is unreal.
During the last 2 years, the Ohio Oline has had 3 rushers who qualify for the greatest yards per carry in the last 60+ years of the MAC: Dorian Brown, Irons, Rourke. Ohio alone had 3 dudes last year that averaged over 6 yards per carry--unreal. Granted, Rourke is a unique force at QB that is probably the most talented runner from the QB position I've seen at Ohio since the 1980s, but 2 rbs also finished over 6 ypc.
If im a scout, the OU oline has a few people from last year's' team Im looking at on day three.
And the OU Offense was slick last year. I rewatch a few DVR'd games from last year per month and the offensive design and play calling was just really good.
