This has turned into a non-event. There has been almost no news on spring practice so I expect a family and friends turnout. Surplus equipment sales generates a lot of curiosity and more people showing up to buy gear.
In Frank's first few years I think there was more of an effort to put on a spring game. Injuries have always been cited as the reason it was curtailed. With a 100 man roster it seems there could be something better.
I suspect that there are about 80 players available. They probably could put on a spring game if they wanted to, but I think all schools have been reducing contact during non-game situations, so I think a lot less schools have full Spring games these days.
