As usual, these guys are the first out with a depth chart. Is it accurate? Who is their source? I have no idea.

Probably fairly accurate going into fall camp. I may flip the RB's with Ross 1 and Allison 2.

It was pointed out to me that their height/weight data is not accurate, so it may be that the rest of their data is suspect as well. I have no clue where they get their depth chart, nor how accurate it is. Here are some questions I have:
1. We've heard a lot about Hooks. Is he now projected as a starter?
2. On the OL, there is a lot of shuffling of positions. We do know that Pleasants has been moved from RT to LT, and that Kitrell has moved from C to LG. What about Sink from LG to Center? Notestine from C to RG? Brody Rodgers from RT to LT? All are possible, or, they could just be guesses.
3. At RB, we have a couple more RB coming in in the Fall, and they could shake things up. For now, though, is Allison ahead of Ross, or, is he ahead only until Ross is fully recovered?
4. On Defense, things seem about how I expected, expect the backups at Safety. They show Floyd moving from FS to SS, and redshirt Freshman Collier jumping to second string.

All of these are possible, or, they could just be guesses by ourlads.com.

Another site asked me to help them update their depth chart about a month ago. It's focused on fantasy football on the college level so it's only the skill position guys. I made several suggestions of some obvious things (Keszei not at QB anymore, Ball out for good with injury) but it doesn't seem they ever changed anything. I just don't think too many sites put much effort into the MAC.

By contrast, on the Ourlads chart, regarding the position changes, and the depth chart in general, as I look at it, every person that has been reported to change position (Kitrell to LG, Pleasants to LT, Keszei not at QB anymore, and Wood to SLB) is shown in the correct position. Thus, I have no doubt that whoever did the chart had a pretty good idea what he/she was doing, so I suspect that the Depth chart is generally pretty accurate.

That's good then that they've done that much. It looks pretty good for the most part. I think with any depth chart at this time of year, it's a guess. I'm not sure the coaches really know for sure at this point.

Mailman delivered Phil Steele's 2019 CFB Guide.

What I always start with is the OL depth chart.

LT 1. 60. 2. 78
LG 1. 61. 2. 58
C 1. 73. 2. 70
RG 1. 76. 2. 72
RT 1. 53. 2. 68

Steele's All MAC Offense lists Rourke-1st Tm. Cox-2nd Tm. Odom, Kitrell & Pleasants-3rd Tm.

So, comparing this to Ourlads:
LT Pleasants and then Rodgers (Ourlads) or Jackson (Steele)
LG Kitrell and then Danneker (Ourlads) or Ramer (Steele)
C Hayes, then Sink
RG Meserv then Notestine (Ourlads) or Danneker (Steele)
RT Grimes then Fernandez

So.. there is a consensus on the starters, but not the backups. And of course, Hoover will be added to the mix come fall.

I think that could be true but I wonder if a dark horse will rise to get starter's minutes at RB? I really like Ross as a player and am glad he came here but wonder if he fits the kind of running offense Ohio is gonna do with N. Rourke at QB. I'm really hoping Walter Wilbon III is ready-I think he will be our best long-term solution at RB.
