The preseason AP poll came out today and 47 (57 in the coaches poll) teams received votes for the Top 25. While this seems meaningless being a preseason poll, there is no sport more dependent on reputation or perception than college football, which makes decisions based on rankings.
None of the teams on Ohio's schedule this year received a vote. None for Pitt, none for Louisiana, none for Marshall, none for a single MAC opponent.
If Rourke is improved from previous years (which were already great) and we have a decent running attack and a strong receiving corps, we could maybe put something magical together.
