I was on board with these new uniforms until I read that Adidas is phasing out the "Shockweb" compression uniforms (what we will now have) for their new "Primeknit A1" for a bunch of three-stripe schools this fall.

There are several in this article:

Maybe we're in line for updated unis again next year? Hope we got a good deal on these "old" design.

The bigger question is........when will we start wearing uniforms made from recycled/salvaged plastic debris found in the Hocking River?!

All joking aside that is a pretty cool program.

I do like the texture of the new base Primeknit A1 much better than the pattern used on a lot of the previous adidas Shockweb looks. It always looked cheap and low end to me.

Does seem like all day I dream about sports(soccer) is gaining some traction after losing some big names like Tennessee and UCLA in recent years.

I may be a minority of one, but I like the new uniforms with the stripes on the sleeves rather than the shoulders. I never like those stripes. Just one man's opinion.
Stripes on the sleeves is rimeniscent of the traditional OSU uniforms, that’s probably why you like them.

The Jerseys have a subliminal "watermark" type of pattern designed to look like the skin of a Bobcat. Best viewed from the main page as when you click on the picture the official Ohio Logo Watermark is on the picture.

Update: while some of the promotional flyers around campus show players like Rourke and Hagan in the Shockweb unis, we've officially been upgraded to the new Primeknit A1 kit. They are much cleaner with what appears to be a slightly thicker double shoulder stripe.

Overall a nice, clean look. If we get black alternates they should look solid with black helmets.

To see for yourself, visit Ohio Football on Twitter.

PS: I can only hope the basketball team gets upgraded jerseys from their current looks-like-a-practice-jersey kit.

Does this mean we might actually wear our school colors a few times this season?

I dont think the jersey is "dripping." The stripes on the shoulder makes me feel like you have to be scanned in before the game starts. Get rid of those stripes. Lol!

They put numbers back on the shoulder which were removed last year.

Touché! Bring back the Green and White!

I do like the white helmet and white paints with green jersey.

I like the stripes. And it makes it easier for refs to see when someone is holding against you.

Saw a picture of Rourke’s Home Jersey on Twitter and the stitching on the inside appears to indicate the Attack Cat on the back instead of a name plate like the Black Jerseys. Hope I am wrong.

Interesting point. I had never thought of it from that angle! (pardon the very subtle pun)

Yep, I bet when you run a season statistic you will find these jerseys give us a 25% advantage in holding calls.

So, should defensive linemen wear gloves the same color as the opponent's Jersey to limit holding calls? Wink, wink...
Edit, I mean offensive linemen....
