A 10am central kickoff for me. Breakfast with the Bobcats!

How on Earth are we going to watch this game with it being on the ACC Network? Hardly anyone gets this channel so far.

Under normal conditions driving in for the game and factoring I need to be at the stadium at 10:30am to pick up the tickets at will call that would require leaving my home at 6am to make the game. Having the tickets mailed out helps but so does driving in the night before with those tickets. This TV network stuff is out of control at this point with morning kickoffs for 3rd tier TV broadcasts. That was probably not what Schaus was hoping for when he scheduled Pitt originally.

I get the ACC Network on Directv but its part of the sports channels package 600’s. I guess some bars would have it if you like drinking in the morning.

It's on the Internet through ESPN. They've cut deals with a few, but not all, cable/satellite providers: https://www.newsobserver.com/entertainment/tv/warm-tv-blo...

Right. It is not being treated like the Big 10 or SEC nets. You have to buy something called the "Sports Pack" to receive it. I guess you could buy it for 1 month and chalk it up as a pay per view game

Doesn’t Bdubs usually have all sports channels? That’s where I plan on going in Dubuque.

I posted this in another thread before I saw your post, but I did an embed of two different versions. Can't have too many posts of this game. Now, no one has an excuse for not viewing it and getting excited. If this doesn't get you pumped up and doesn't get you excited, you are NOT a Bobcat fan, and should go back to Oxford or some other God-forsaken place!

Teams with good defenses worry me and I think Pitt has a pretty good defense. We’ll see if we can step it up against a lot better defense that we saw in week one.

One of the interesting stories is that Ohio's cover-4 defense was originally based on the cover-4 innovations from Pat Narduzzi. How will that affect the outcome? Will Pat spot weaknesses in the version of the Cover-4 that Ohio has implemented? Will Ohio's coaches, who are now well versed in the Cover-4, be able to move the ball against Pitt's Cover-4? Will either team's coaching staff see things they like about the other team's defense, and implement some improvements?

Their fan site is talking about their best remaining DL being injured in the VA game, nothing official

Anyone else worried about our OLB's being physical enough to stuff Pitts RBs? Dorsa will do the job in the middle. I hope the other guys can be physical and quick enough to make open field tackles. Maybe we use a safety as a 4th LB in some situations.

I'm more concerned, having watching this unit last year and the opener yesterday, with our OLBs in pass coverage.

I might have to rely on tunein for this one, I'll be checking out of hotel and heading to port for cruise.

I loved my one night stay downtown Pittsburgh a few years ago, I highly recommend driving in night before for this 11am kickoff.

Fun fact: Ohio now has scored 20 or more pts in 29 straight games. The last time Ohio scored fewer than 20 pts was a 9-3 win over Akron in Nov 2016.

Pitt players might not be overlooking us but their fans sure are. Everyone is focused on Penn State game in 2 weeks. Ohio game thread doesn't even make it to page 1 of their forum.

Maybe so. But I wouldn't take that as a slight per se. They've been playing for almost 130 years. If they are long standing fans I'm sure they remember 2005 as well as we do.

We will likely talk a lot more about Marshall and Miami on here than Pitt.

No need to run man this week. Zone and zone blitz this week. Run Cover 3, Cover 4 press and Cover 6. Force this QB to make long throws. He's not as accurate as at Nathan. As far as the run game, I think our guys are just as physical.

Dorsa had 8 tackles. Popp and Conner both had 7. Not sure what you’re worried about.

Pitt needs this game in the worst way. They currently are on a 4-game losing streak with Penn State and UCF the next two opponents after Ohio. Lose to us and they very well could be looking at 7 straight.
