With NFL teams making cuts today and tomorrow it is going to be a difficult time for some Bobcats. Here's hoping they find success in their continued push to play the game they love or in new directions they choose to take.

Nobody had a really spectacular game last night, so you're right, tomorrow may not be fun for most Bobcats in the NFL.

I saw AJ in the Browns game last night. He did well: 7 carries for 19 yds; 2 recs for 7 yds; no fumbles; and he blocked well. But he didn't really bust one (longest run was 7 yds) and I think he was called for holding on a late punt. The coaches have been high on him, so he might make the practice squad.

Papi caught two of the six passes thrown to him for 15 yds and he had two punt returns for nine yds.

Casey had two tackles and Basham one.

I didn't see any other stats for Bobcats who are fighting for a roster spot. TJ had two solo tackles and nearly got beat for a big gainer but recovered enough to push the receiver out of bounds before he got the second foot down. Unfortunately TJ was called for holding so the Lions got a first down on the play anyway.

I think you are right. I heard they like AJ so he may stick at least on the practice squad. Papi looked good catching the ball and run blocking. I like his chances.

Pitt should owe Sayles a big settlement with how many times they brought him in only to cut him if this true!

Paps cut by Titans. AJ cut by Browns - no word on practice squad for either

Jets make surprise cut of high draft pick - may open spot for Basham

Basham appears to have made Jets 53. Hopefully that sticks.

Have feeling AJ and Sayles get a look or practice squad contract elsewhere. Hoping the same for Papi, Lowery, and Q.

White and Oullette were injury prone in college and undersized. Those factors were too difficult to overcome. XFL bound?

Speaking of tough days, I hope Denzel Daxon's family is OK. It will be a rough time in Bermuda for awhile.

Hopefully it will turn north and strike a glancing blow to the SE, without a full force direct hit anywhere.

If we dropped a nuke in the eye do you think it would destroy the storm?

I have no idea what it would do to the storm, but I expect it would create additional problems. Some day they may find a way to reduce the storms, but we aren't there yet.

As you might have divined, I think BTC was joking with reference to one of the President's brainstorms. You know, as with his "trade wars are easy to win."

The idea of "Nuking" a hurricane has been around for a while.

When I was an undergrad, back in the 70's, I had to take a Geophysics Class.
It was a lot of fun,if you like Calculus.
Out of 20 students on the first day, only 4 made it through.
I had to stick it out, because it was a required class.

The Professor got his PhD in Physics when he was around 21.
Worked for Bell Labs for years, before going into teaching.

"Altering" weather, like "seeding" clouds,to generate rain, and decrease snow, and "killing" hurricanes before they started, were some of of the things he talked about.

He said that, because of fallout,a "nuke" wouldn't be viable.
But,he told us that,if,when a storm is just starting to form, and if it is over
open water,a large conventional device, like they kind of explosives they
used to clear a landing area in Vietnam could, potentially, have a disruptive effect on the storm.

The idea goes back to the 50's.
So, for all we know,it may been tired.

I'm pretty sure they have probably done some experiments with cloud seeding to see if it had any impact, but I don't think it did much. These days the computer simulations are getting remarkably more accurate, and it's likely that they are trying things in computer simulations, perhaps more extensive seeding, or seeding in different places, or at different times. To me, it's quite likely that within the next 10-20 years, they may find things that appear beneficial in simulations, and they may try them with real storms.

Well, according to the movie,at Woodstock the government seeded the clouds, which made all the rain and mud. :-)
