We just moved our son into Washington Hall and plan to come down to the game Saturday. First in-person football game in six years. URI is coming off a good season (6-5, beat #15 Delaware on the road, lost at UConn by 7), so they're not to be taken lightly. After almost losing to Howard last year I'm sure our guys won't overlook them. Go Cats!!!

I wonder if FCS schools are suffering a talent drain (or will shortly) due to the NCAA being so much more open to transfer waivers. It used to be a guarantee that players had to sit out a year when transferring between FBS schools, but that does not seem to be the case quite often anymore. In the past, if a player didn't want to burn a year of eligibility (or just didn't want to sit out a year), they would drop to FCS. We often saw players who had once been part of a P5 school. It would be interesting to note whether that trend is slipping.

Me too. The hat he wore last year looked like someone in the year 1989 (who had never bought a ticket to a sporting event) picked it out from the clearance rack at Cross Court

Glad I am not the only one who found that to be a curious piece of headgear last season haha. I figured he would be required to wear an adidas hat or no hat at all.

I feel like Kurtis Rourke probably is the backup but they are going to do their best to make sure he plays no more than four games. So I think Mischler might get the garbage time if there is any in this game and save Rourke until later in the season or in the event that he is needed for extended time.

I’m still trying to figure out why Rourke was so bad in that game and why he didn’t come back in after a few series. A head scratcher to me. We won, but it was ugly defensively and for Rourke.
