NCAA is moving to a single offseason transfer portal window for football. A vote today approved a change that eliminates the spring transfer window.

I've come around recently to believe Ohio has benefitted from the portal the last 2-3 years, at least compared to its peers. This change, if nothing else, should make it easier on all college coaching staffs.

The only issue I see, and I liked, was we were beneficiary to the spring portal window more than the first window. Will be interesting to see how that changes. Always a lot of additional portal jumpers after the new freshman get in the building and spring practices take place and folks start seeing their position in jeopardy.

Will be nice to not have that 2nd window panic though.
