1. Did he not injure his left wrist? Can anyone confirm which wrist is hurt?

2. In this day and age, when some think refs over-protect QBs, was that not a late hit on Parker?
1. Yes, it is the left wrist. Non-throwing hand.

2. I can't stand B1G refs at this point. They weren't kind to us in the Rutgers game either.

16-9. Held them to 3 again after the overturned call.

A one score game well into the third quarter has defied all my expectations.

I've been saying this for decades and posted such in the Rutgers game thread. Equally bad are b10 announcers. Neither one said a word about the late hit on Navarro. But they naturally wanted a late hit call on Ohio minutes later on backup osu QB Kleinhol' run.

If nothing else, all the barking from OSU fans about "Oh, we're going to crush you guys by 50+ points" didn't come to fruition.

We are running a lot of JV's and OSU still keeps in their 1st string.

Like me on a golf course, you’re out there for the moment. We got the moment with that touchdown pass. Good enough for me. Now win out.

We fought hard, think it could have been even closer if Parker played the entire first half. Proved we could bend and not break in situations where we’re outgunned.

Nobody in the MAC is going to be making deep throws to receivers like that with that long in the pocket against us. Heck, MAYBE 3-5 teams in all of college ball could. I like our chances to win 10+ games and the title again if we stay pretty healthy.

Bet we could have beaten them if we'd had $20 million in NIL money to throw at our players.

On the way home.

That was fun.

Great showing from OU fans.

Who knows what it would’ve been with Parker able to go all game. Another game where we put the rest of the conference on notice. Let’s roll.

Good outing by the D. Made O$U run first-stringers deep into the 4th. Two pick. Had the feeling that O$U's TOP (32 1minuties out of the first 54) wore down our D.

The offense just ran into maybe the best defense in college football. Just 181 total yds, and 57 of those came on the last drive.

This was one of those games where the team takes satisfaction in staying close for three quarters and shakes off the final score (although losing by 28 to the current #1 team in the country isn't bad, considering how some other MAC teams have done vs lower-ranked "P" teams). You focus on the positives.

So does Navarro play next week to let his injured left hand heal? Or does he start, then play a quarter or two before sitting? He seemed to be better in the 2nd half but that could've been temporary due to the treatment he got at halftime. Gardner-Webb has won close games vs 0-3 Western Carolina and 1-2 The Citadel but by 46 to GaTech. So they should be beatable even without Navarro.

I was at the game and didn’t see the injury, but If Parker even has the sniffles I want him to sit. We’re playing for more than stats. Let Polous sling it. Sieh can run over them. Go win back-to-back MAC titles for the first time in 60 some years. This is a tough football team. Well coached. Well prepared. Keep the focus. Dominate MAC play.

That said, they’ve got some tough games ahead. They’re gonna get everyone’s toughest game. Crazy were in this position, cause I didn’t see it 6 weeks ago. My prediction was 8-0 or 7-1 in conference play, but that was mostly bluster. They’re tougher than I gave them credit for. Especially the defense. Tremendous effort tonight. Brian is the best 1-2 coach in college football.

Good showing by the bobcats. We won’t see receivers like that the rest of the year. Playing those guys man a man made it really impossible in the long run. The big pass plays were the difference. They definitely wore the defense out by the fourth quarter. I don’t having Parker in the second quarter made any difference their defense is just really really good and the offense just couldn’t move the ball..We will be fine the rest of the way.

Poulas missed the wide open receiver with a really terrible throw which is much worse than missing a score by a kicker.

Why do the stats show one kicker kicked a field goal while another kicked the PAT--someone hurt?

I did not like the late third and early fourth offense especially after the second pick. On first and second down the Buckeyes gave a cushion to OUr receivers why not throw a two second toss and get 2-3 yards or perhaps even break a tackle? Parker ran one on first down for 9 but never ran other than being flushed. OSU scores with a Jet play wide but OHIO goes between the tackles almost every time. Again other than a nice toss to a tight end slant why not more very quick and short passes like that one/ Too much pocket collapse to run a longer pass play.

Why did OHIO go for it on 4th down early and get it, but the next series have fourth and 2 and punt it when farther from our end zone?

On the third and half a mile we should have snuck the punter in and shifted to punt on 3rd down and catch the Buckeyes with no body deep?

At least the O had the most exciting score of the game.

Doesn't sound like I am happy but I was very pleased with the effort and really happy we cleaned up the false starts and delay of game flags we saw in games 1 & 2 in a much more hostile environment. Go Bobcats.

No linemen lost. No skill position players lost. That's what I was hoping for. With a little luck this team could win out, folks.

I don't think that the staff has faith in any of the four kickers.

On the other hand, the new punter seems to have figured things out. Kid could be a weapon in MAC play.

Totally agree, the punts were huge for us in this game, complete turnaround from Rutgers and WVU.

What an effort by this team and fanbase. Smith is a hell of a coach and this defense is legit, MAC offenses are gonna be in for a tough sleddin I think.

OUr fans really showed up, especially outside the stadium during pre game activities. I will note, I do think their fans have much more respect for OUr program than WVU's did, the mountaineers talked a lot more crap than I heard yesterday. I'm also not sure I've seen/heard as much praise for this program on a national level as I have these past couple weeks.

Being up in the nose bleeds, I don't think anybody saw Parker's injury or even noticed he was out. What was clear from up there was the huge gap when 8 is in the game. The speed/quickness just evaporated and the offense completely stalled.

Parker should sit next week if there is any risk to make this injury worse. That being said, this game is a total trap/let down game. If Parker is 100%, let's get up a few scores and bring in Poulus to get some more reps.

Man I don't disagree that we are better with PN at the helm, but the idea that our offense was productive until he was hurt is fallacious. We were shut. down. Frustrating and disappointing even as we kept the score close for as long as we did.

The pass to Hendricks was terrific fun. False as it was, it was a glimmer of hope and a great moment. But that play was all Chase Hendricks, making the catch on what was practically a jump ball, then making a great move and fending off defenders who had an angle on him. Awesome individual effort. D played a solid game in most aspects but clearly worn down by the end. I also hate mickey mouse stuff like missing a PAT on a big stage. Those just have to be automatic. Good effort, lots to improve still. Truth is we can still be a lot better. No sleeping on an FCS opponent. Play well and be sound and get the W.
