Some interesting games. Obviously OUr game is the main event but a few others that stand out to me are BG/Cincy, Miami/Rutgers, CMU/Pitt.

Think I saw Miami is +14.5 which is the same spread we opened with as well.

BG seems to get hyped up every year but fails to live up to it. Solid opportunity against an in state opponent to see what they are about.

It took Eddie George a few years to get Tn State turned around.

He will get it done at BGSU but not instantly.

NIU giving Maryland a real game. They’re going to be a tough out in the MAC.

MD 20--NIU 9. At least the Huskies beat the spread and allowed the Terps 19 fewer pts than FAU did.

I watched the second half of that game. NIU was very undisciplined and extended some UM drives by stupid penalties. They beat themselves.

Early results:

Pitt 45--CMU 17

TxTech 62--KSU 14

Kent actually beat the spread. They were 48.5 pt underdogs and lost by only 48.

Looks like a tough day vs the other subdivision:

UMass lost at home to Bryant, 27-26 on a last-second FG.

EMU trails LIU, 21=16, with about seven minutes left.

Oh well… smaller hurdles for us then.

Ohio has a good path to at least win 8 games now. 2-2 in the non-conference, 5-3 in the MAC and a bowl win gets you there. Ball St, EMU, WMU, Buffalo, UMass do not look tough. Then BG, NIU, Miami are at home. Ohio probably 6-2 or better in the MAC with another crack at a MAC title. Another fun season ahead.
