I guess players make you younger, especially with musical tastes. Coach Solich graduated from Holy Name in Cleveland in 1962, I am guessing that a lot of guys in Cleveland that grew up in that era would be throwing out Chubby Checker, Chuck Berry or the the Four Seasons. As Ohio Cat Fan said maybe the Beach Boys, but that taste would have to acquired in college since the Beach Boys were at their peak in 63,64 and 65.

I am guessing a lot of MAC coaches from the early 60s might have said Hank Williams or Ferlin Husky.

Nice, Doc.

How about . . . some Ohio fans complain about "Still The Same" when it comes to Bobcat football. Solich, even at the age of 75, still has "The Fire Inside." And maybe he's waiting for "The Famous Final Scene" before calling it a career.

Maybe Coach Solich was hoping for a better start to the year that way he could have gone to the Front Room and done a medley of the following: "Traveling Man/Beautiful Loser" to reprise his unappreciated role at Nebraska followed by "Against the Wind" talking about his non-conference struggles here at Ohio, to be followed by "You'll Accompany Me" which would have signified his crowning achievement of a MAC championship. Well maybe next year.

Maybe it's not too late to book the warm-up act, Terry Bowden singing a reprised version of the Pretenders "My City was Gone" to "My Team Was Gone." Coach Bowden could cap off his performance with Toby Keith's "How Do You Like Me Now"

The poll this came from polled every coach and commissioner in the country.

Less Miles - 21 Savage. Always be crootin right?

Lots of country fans but the "coolest" was Dave Clawson whose favorite act is Talking Heads.

He's definitely "Like a Rock" and has helped the program stand tall when it was "Against the Wind."

Perhaps this explains Frank's willingness to seemingly use more trick plays (Philly Special, squib kicks, etc.) in recent years. I'm guessing someone slipped in a Bob Seger System album on him and Ramblin' Gamblin' man blared out. ; )

I love those plays. Ohio would have smoked Ball State on the opening play with a flea flicker last week out of a run-heavy look but didnt execute it --Cam Odom was wide open for a TD. Those usually work out in Ohio's favor.

Frank says Zervos can hit most anything "Against The Wind" and that he's gonna coach until they "Roll Me Away".

Sometimes I miss Monroe who would have given the obvious response

"Still the Same" -- 15 years and no championships!

Speaking of Seger, he and his band played the final night on their "final tour" last night in Philly. One of the great American R&R bands.

He should’ve went with the Jeff Healey Band. I think they played the Skull back in the 80s. Not sure if there was chicken wire between the band and audience, tho.
