I don't know. A "much better team" doesn't crap the bed like it did last night. Coaching, game management (and being here in Cleveland, unfortunately I'm really familiar with bad game management), play-calling, the ability to perform under pressure, all of that to me is considered being part of the team. And from what I saw last night, everything considered, Ohio didn't appear to be the much better team. Especially now, sitting there at 4-5 in one of the worst divisions in FBS.

I wish I could believe you guys that Ohio is the much better team, but from what I saw last night, eh not so much.
We certainly don’t have a top notch up front defensive player who dominates. We use a lot of players, but not seeing any up front who we can count on to stop a play.

This morning I rewatched our opening drive.

To me,we score, we most likely win.

After a really good drive,it seemed,looking at the sidelines,the fumble took the wind out of our sales.

Almost like "here we go again".

It reminded me of a Giants playoff game years ago.

In the beginning of the game Rice was running down the sideline for a sure touchdown.

The ball just drops out of his hands and the Giants recover,the Niner's never did.

After the game a couple of their players said that when that happened,they it wasn't going to be their day.

Things missing is the old play QB Bates ran where it looked like he was about to sweep the end near the line and then pops back to throw. As good of runner as Rourke is I'd have to imagine there is a sellout with the DB's wanting to come up and make a stop.

Additionally, quick slants, no where to be seen after there was an indication that the line couldn't provide protection.

In an earlier post, someone said that both TT and Rourke are having below average senior seasons. Personally, I would never put Rourke in a class with TT as Rourke is tough as nails and took significant hits by trying to extend runs.

How about that Miami TD after a near terrific play by the Bobcat DB to bat the ball only to simply deflect it to a concentrating receiver--you got to admit that was an awesome play regardless of negative outcome.

There were several misdirection plays last night, sever Counters off the read option with two lead blockers for the QB, you had the reverse. Heck the read option itself is often a misdirection play. The spread is NOT the Wing-T, you are not always aligned every play for misdirection. That's just not in the college game anymore.

As for the play at Kent, again that is a coverage/scheme type play/situation, and that was simply not there.

As for play-action, there was quite a bit of play action last night, but DB's don't really have to worry about PA when the D front is kicking the O-Line's ass. As for calling for flea-flickers, those are NOT every game plays, and are again situational, if you have DB's taking bites on the run hard, sure give it a try, but when they are playing pass 1st and the pocket is getting collapsed, that is not a play you want to run.

I think the abuse tt takes on this board is way below the line and way off base.

I know which QB I wanted last night when we needed a game winning drive.

Haven’t seen a Bobcat run out of bounds quicker than Ross at end half since Tettleton did his entire senior year
