Big time programs do that. FSU was paying Jimbo boat loads of cash and he left for the SEC and Texas A@M . Now he is collecting more boat loads of cash.

Real big time programs don't do that. This is bush league all the way. It's sign that they are spending beyond their means in athletics. Their best days may be behind them.

FIU beats the Miami Hurricanes and Florida State struggles to raise money to find a new coach, but not before paying off the former one. It sure sounds like the balance of power in Florida has changed dramatically.

Would be one thing to solicit through a meeting or a couple phone calls, but when you put this into writing and mail out, yeah, that screams desperate!

This is just another reason they will not land a big name coach that they may want. I mean, when they have to outwardly beg for money to pay a buyout of a guy there 2 years, who wants that job (being someone who is highly sought after, who wants that job?)

I think Appalachian State's coach would be a great hire for FSU. He has done a tremendous job of elevating that program and I would like to see a guy like that go to FSU, rather than a P5 Coach.

Also, Who else is commentating on Saturdays that could ignite a program? I know Coach Mack Brown is back in NC with an average year but it sure is good to see him coaching again. And his dancing moves surely improved since coaching last at Texas.


Anyone want to provide their 2 cents on this or maybe another small-time coach they have been silently watching and admiring?
