Anyone else following the Go Fund Me account set up to help the Athens County Foodbank? After Joe Burrow made mention of this in his Heisman acceptance speech this fund was established Sunday afternoon. The goal is now up to $50,000 and the money is pouring in from bayou country. So heart-warming to see this happening. Thanks Jeaux for thinking of your family back in SE Ohio.

After watching his Heisman acceptance speech,I'll be very surprised,if after he's in the NFL,Burrow doesn't establish some type of Foundation to help out Southeast Ohio.

At 71,000 a half hour later. This thing is picking up pace and national news outlets will soon jump in making it even greater. I wouldn't be surprised to see it end up in 7 figures.

I once said that Joey could find more success as a US Senator than NFL QB (some found that insulting). While his next step is Sunday's, given his views and leadership on player play, response to congresswomen being told to "Go back" and ability to raise funds, the real insult may have been I undersold him as just a Senator.

Looks to me like you undersold him as a football player. Now don't go making this political.

I know a lot of NFL players and coaches set up their own charitable foundations.
They also support a number of existing charities.

As I posted,I'd be very surprised, especially given his Heisman acceptance speech, if Burrow doesn't set up something to help out Southeast Ohio on a permanent basis.
