If this quote is true, Scott Frost might be the dumbest coach in college football today.

When he decided to transfer as a redshirt junior, Nebraska, mired in a dismal stretch, could have landed him again. The Cornhuskers passed. When asked about Burrow at the time, Nebraska coach Scott Frost said, “You think he’s better than what we got?”

By year of graduation, I'm guessing I'm 8 years older than you Mark and that was my first thought. i sure hope not because he's a good kid and part of a very good family.

I think he’ll defy the SI jinx (🤞🤞) and I hope for the same thing too!

That quote is true by Scott Frost, and the previous coach passed on Burrow as well. For the inside story at OSU, go back and look at who Meyer hired at OSU when Herman left. Yep, same idiot who was at Nebraska who refused to recruit Joey, he’s the one who became the QB Coach and failed to promote Joey as things progressed. Then Frost goes to Nebraska and refuses to recruit Joey.

I was fifteen and growing up in Athens, when the most unbelievable and improbable event in the entire world took place: my highly valued subscription to Sports Illustrated yielded the top High School Basketball recruit on the front cover, who was wearing none other than a Bobcat's uniform and posing at the very center of the floor of my beloved Convo. That, of course, was legendary Bobcat, Walter Luckett. To this day, I always remember that as a lesson on how anything is possible. If an Ohio Bobcat could make the cover of Sports Illustrated than there is no point in ruling out any possibility whatsoever.

That said, I could never have even imagined that a fellow Athens High School Bulldog would not only be in the running for the Heisman Trophy, but also make the cover of Sports Illustrated. I mean: WOW! I am really considering the strong possibility of beginning to play the lottery again and thus avoid being outside during an electrical storm. This whole thing is so surreal. I wish this kid well. He has certainly done the unexpected. Hopefully, nobody else comes to realize just how tasty and special that Hocking River water is.
